Happy New year to everyone……

I have never made a new years resolution before, didn’t want to and let myself down year after year. I have just always tried to be a good person and be my best, but I let my dark side take control. Well this year is going to be different, I am making one and a long one too. This is the year I am going to change my life, I have taken back control and I now have a list of things I will be doing this year. They are in order of Priority for me so here it goes.

1: Stop being so hard on myself, no one insults me more or belittles me like I do myself. No more insulting myself, calling me fat, ugly, stupid, a loner and a looser. I know I am better then this so it is time to start acting like it.

2: Pay more attention to my health, both Mental and Physical, I may not be able to go to the gym everyday or any day but I can get out and get an active social life again. What worked for me before was getting out being adventurous, hiking, diving, just taking a walk around my beautiful neighborhood. Stop avoiding making friendships, I always keep people at a distance so for my mental health I am going to try and open up and be social and keep in contact with my friends more.

3: I want to focus on my art and designs, I have been scared and almost paralyzed to put something together or complete a project, always making excesses an to why I don’t do it, from the weather, not having enough money or the right equipment. Stop it you are creative enough to figure out what to do about all of them stop letting your mind be your road block.

4: I want to write more, I am so self conscious over my lack of Spelling and grammar skills that I let it stop me from writing down my ideas and thoughts. I know I have some brilliant moments in thought but no one will ever know unless you are around me at the moment. No one may ever read or be interested in what I have to say but I am going to say it anyway. My goal is to write a blog at least once a week, I may just turn what was just supposed to be a blog about shopping and beauty into my blog about me and my life, which includes a lot of Shopping and Fashion and Beauty. I want to get my script done, it has been in my head for 4 years now, it is time to get it out and see if the world is interested.

So there you have it 4 ways I am going to take control of my life this year and no procrastinating, if you see me slip please reach out and show me the handrail.

When things slowed down one of the tings I had to  quit doing was Laser Hair removal and Microdermabrasion and Facials had to go down to a minimum and my monthly massages had to go to every 4 months. Let me tell you this I am now back to having all my spa days the way I love and used to without breaking my budget.

Not just spa and beauty treatments, great restaurant deals, fitness deals on boot camps and Yoga classes. Got a lot of Dental work for 70% off. Sky diving for half price.

How it works, You sign up with groupon, tell them the city or cities you are interested in what kind of deals you are interested in. Then you do get an email daily, not including weekends, with a deal offer, you have the option to buy or not buy. Each deal has a limit they have to reach in order to receive the deal, if the limit is not reached then your card is not charged, if it is then it is charged and you get an email confirming your purchase, it is that simple. I have yet to purchase a deal that did not reach its limit.

If you have a business that has something to offer think about it, the place i go to regularly to get my mani and pedis offered the deal for 25 bucks for the Spa Mani and Pedis, they asked for a min of 50 to be sold, within 24 hours they had sold 1,367, you do the math, they were very excited about this and there appointment books are looking good now.

I am excited I get to live Frugally while maintaining the life style I had grown accustom to.

I love to shop, nothing like Retail Therapy even if it is just window and browser surfing and I don’t purchase anything, just looking at beautiful things I know I would look great in is just a good pick me up. I love designer styles with the hefty price tags and I love to shop frugally, all depends on my budget at that moment, but at least once a year I do like go all out and get me something expensive that I can rock.

So now that I am a size 14 shopping has become more of a Challenge, and to be frank is P1$$3$ me off. Here for my first blog, is just a small list of places that seem to understand that Beautiful comes in all shapes and sizes and women over the size of 10 want great things too. We want sexy Lingerie, flattering suits, divine dresses, and we want those awesome boots to fit over our calves. We want all this without having to squeeze into a smaller size, we don’t like having muffin tops, or jelly rolls. We want something flattering, that doesn’t hide us, but shows off our assets and makes us bright.

I am sure we all have this problem of shopping for cute cloths, the things we like they just don’t make in sizes over an 8-10, and it pisses me off. I am a modern woman, I don’t want to dress like mother of the bride nor do I want to hide my body behind a tent just to find something comfortable to wear.

I am a shopper, a Lingerie Diva and a shoe Whore, I love dressing up and nothing beats like a comfortable pair of jeans, especially if they make my backside look great. I love to look Classy but sexy, and these  clothing companies seem to think that the Bra stops at 38C.

So here it is a short list with some favorite places, if i have missed any or you have suggestions I am always up to discovering new Gems.

Pine Up Girl Clothing aka PUG I love love love PUG I have so many of there items well because they understand that beauty comes in many sizes, and their clothing flatters the curvy woman. Ill post a pic of me in a few of my PUG outfits later in this blog. Oh and if you Like them on Facebook you will get some awesome sales.

Stop Staring clothing Another PinUp Style clothing line that makes everything in every size, Prices are a bit Higher then PUG but the quality you get with it is well worth it.

Hips and CurvesMainly Lingerie and corsets but some sexy stuff here and some bras I love and previously only been able to find in the smaller sizes until I found Hips and curves.

Torrid Well who doesn’t know about Torrid, Torrid is a spin off and owned by Hot Topic, Gotta love hot topic for listing to their customers and creating torrid for the stylish curvy woman. If you like to play the stock market most will tell you to stay away from Clothing companies, but Hot Topic has been running steady and strong for 20 years and when they created Torried they sailed when everyone else was Plumitting.

Nordstoms Encore I love Nordstrom’s, always have always will and since they created Encore I love them even more. Yes they are on the Pricey side and for a reason. There are somethings I have gone cheap on and know better and so when I can Nordstrom’s here I come. For One I can buy a nice pair of jeans at walmart and or target but to me they just fit and feel like MOM jeans. Nordies Encore carries some name brands that even I found surprising that they made big girl jeans. Michael Kors for instance, the Moment I tried his jeans on at Nordies I was in Love. They were so comfortable felt like I was sliding into butter. I now own 3 pairs of them and they make my ass look fantabulious. Bought a few other brands there too that I love and will post pics of me in them later. Another Plus to Nordies is Everything you buy there Alterations in store are FREE, and they have the best return policy ever.

Lanebryant Lane Bryant for the Business casual curvy woman. They have some great things but I find it hard to shop here I am to small and too short for most of their things.

Fredricks I love Fredricks they have some of the most sexy lingerie but shopping in store to find anything over a 38 is a needle in a hey stack, their online store however is fantastic, most not all things come in plus sizes.

OD Girl Little on actual Clothing, but lots of Lingerie and Costumes and plus sized hosiery for reasonable prices.

Great Glam If you like things cheap this is the place to go I have gotten many things from this site that I love, the prices are great but few items last over a year, or maybe i just wear them like crazy,lol.

Lingerie Diva Love this site elegant easy to use and their items are gorgeous. Many of the items can be found on many of these sites.
